Spanish Fork Splash Park

Today Julie and I checked out the Spanish Fork Splash Park. It's such a cool place. The water part is awesome, and there is also a pretty sweet playground next to it too. Lincoln and Adelia were all over getting in the water, but Ivan not so much. But he had fun running around the fountains and climbing on the benches. My kids were also really glad to have Sam and Tyler there to run around with.

I pretty much knew that Lincoln would love the water and that Ivan would be unsure of it. Adelia was the wildcard. She's loved every water experience she's ever had up to this point, but I wasn't sure if the spraying fountains would intimidate her at all. They didn't. She was so funny. She would crawl, no fear, right through the middle of the water and children running around yelling, laughing her head off. Why do I keep having this feeling that we are in for it with her? ;)

Soaked from head to toe, laughing her little head off. Here's a picture of Ivan, perfectly content to watch the other kids play and not get wet.

And Linc, his favorite part was putting his shoe over a fountain and then waiting until someone walked by and letting it splash up and surprise them.

We didn't get to play as long as we wanted, if you noticed the dark clouds in the first picture, you can probably guess that it started raining. It rained lightly at first, and we continued to play. But once the kids realized it was raining they came begging for their towels (even though it was still warm and they were already wet, go figure). We wrapped them up and decided, since it was raining a little harder, to go sit under a pavilion and see if we could wait it out. It's a good thing we did, because a downpour ensued.

It rained really hard, there was lots of thunder and even some lightening. When the rained settled down a bit, we headed for the cars. It was time to go. I wish we could have stayed longer. But we will definitely be back again. Such a fun place.
