Of course there are loads of great books with strong female characters, but we limited ourselves to six. Here are some more of my favorites though.
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'dell
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith
Julie of the Wolves by Jean Craighead George
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery
Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden
Number the Stars by Louis Lowry
The Story of My Life by Helen Keller
Farm City by Novella Carpenter
Heidi by Johanna Spyri
It's easy to see why I really like our theme, there are SO many good books that fit under it. What are your favorite strong female character books?

good choices!
My dad bought me The Choices made by Eden. I read it over and over. Enjoy. It brought some interesting topics to discuss just between Scott and I
First of all, I'm so glad to see your blog and second, that is a fantastic line-up! I love to read! The Glass Castle is one of those books that changed me. It is amazingly unbelievable. Have fun discussing your books.
