Our Two Month Old
I'm a couple days late posting this, but Adelia is two months old now. We took her to her doctor's appointment today and everything is looking great. She weighs 12 pounds, which puts her just above the 90th percentile for weight. And I don't remember exactly how tall she is, but she was only in the 50th percentile for that. The doctor told us that the height is never very accurate at this age though, because the babies are all so wiggly when they try to stretch them out to measure them.
She's starting to smile. She's also starting to be awake for little stretches without screaming her head off. It's been a nice reprieve. She still doesn't like to be put down, but if I sit right next to her in her chair, she will now stare at the dangling toys for one or two minutes without crying. The other day she even took a nap in her own bed! (Usually she naps strapped to me in the Moby.) It was a beautiful thing.
She still abhors her car seat, and usually cries for the duration of time she's in it. She still has a fussy period at night that starts around 8pm and lasts anywhere from 10:30pm-12:00am. But she typically only wakes up once in the night after she goes to bed. So that is getting better. Slowly.
Over the last few days I think I might have seen a hint of the beginnings of a nap schedule forming. I hope so. I would LOVE to have some sort of predictable schedule back in my life.
And in sad news...Adelia's dark hair is starting to fall out, and little blond hairs are growing in underneath. I hope at least that the blond hairs are curly. But my visiting teaching companion gave me the cutest headbands/bows to go in her hair today. So at least we have something to distract from the onsetting baldness.

Wow, it goes by fast when it's not your own! It goes by fast when it is your own too, but oh well. She's a cutie! I hope you get the nap schedule soon- that is always good! It's nice to be able to at least plan a little something...
She looks a lot like your boys, but in a feminine way. She is beautiful! I still would love to take their pictures if you are up here one day... kids are my favorite :-)
