We had a pretty relaxed Conference Weekend this year. And I was a-okay with that. Saturday we watched both sessions on the internet at our apartment (we don't have TV remember). Adelia watched like this:
The boys were really good for most of it too. They actually sat and watched most of the first session, without me even suggesting that they do so. They got pretty rowdy by the end of the second session though.
After the second session, we drove up to Hooper to stay the night at my mom's house. They had a campfire in the back yard that we all sat around and roasted marshmallows and talked, while my brother Kyle played the guitar. It was so nice and peaceful, and you could actually see the stars when you looked up. I love being home in the country. I miss it.
Sunday Aaron didn't feel well. He watched conference like this:
I felt bad for him. Both he and my step dad, Kerry, had something crazy going on with their stomachs. No fun. Lucky for me, the rest of my family was there to help entertain the children. Adelia snuggled with Gramma Tam most of the time, and Tanner kept Lincoln and Ivan pretty busy.
I enjoyed conference. What I came away from it with was an excitement to re-read all the talks. For a lot of the talks I just remember thinking, "Wow, this is so cool/interesting/thought provolking, I can't wait until I can sit down and think about it in more depth." I felt that way a lot. So I'm excited for the October Ensign to come, and one of my goals for the next six months is to be really dedicated to sitting down and going through each of the talks.

That sounds so nice. I told David the other day I want to live in the country. We'll see what we can do :0) Nice that you got a break! Hope Aaron is feeling better!
