Itsy Bitsy Spiders

I stumbled upon this craft by accident, but it was too cute to pass up. I was over on ABC & 123 looking at their Tuesday show and tell, and one of the people had up printable Halloween pictures, and I've been wanting to do some bats with the boys, so I clicked on it. Well the blog was all in a different language, but underneath each picture was a link, so I figured I'd just click on the links and that would take me to a big size template to print. I clicked on the link underneath a bat craft, and instead of pulling up a page that had a template of bats to color and cut out and glue together, it pulled up this page with instructions on how to make yarn spiders. (And actually, now that I've gone back to that page to get the link information, I realized that if I would have just scrolled down I would have found the bats I was looking for as well. Guess I know what we'll do tomorrow during quiet time.)

Basically you just make a pom-pom out of yarn but you tie pipe cleaners in the middle for legs, then you hot glue wiggly eyes on them. The middle spider with the short legs was our first attempt. I thought it came out a little funny looking with such short legs, so the next two I made the legs longer, and I like those better. We hung the spiders in our window next to the ghosts.
