I decided to go through my It’s Just My Nature book, and make a bulleted list for each person in our family of the characteristics they have of each of the four Types. I thought having this visual would be interesting and telling. I am going to do one post per family member so that it’s not a gigantic long post. I’ll go oldest to youngest. :)
Lincoln- Lincoln is a secondary 1. He has a lot of both 1 and 4 in him, but definitely leads with Type 4.
Type 1
- Truly believes in the possibility of all his ideas.
- Facial feature is a circle
- You like change and new experiences.
- You talk readily and easily to people
- You do not like to be alone. You like company and amusement.
- You like to talk, chitchat, and enjoy verbal interaction while doing things.
- You can often interrupt or jump from topic to topic when you are in the middle of a conversation because you process information so much fast than other people do.
- You speak what you are thinking almost instantly.
- You are frank, talkative, social, and your emotions are readily expressed.
- You have a lot of fun decorating for holidays.

Type 2
- Word portrait: Thoughtful
Type 3
- Type 3 energy is interested in completing the tasks on their list.
- You have an abundance of sureness about moving forward, and you inspire others to have confidence in you even if you don’t feel confident.
- You may be too pushy, too aggressive, too bossy, or too abrupt for other energy types.
- You have the capacity to accomplish big things in a big way. You think big.

Type 4
- Keeping things structured and staying on track is the primary motive for a Type 4 person.
- A Type 4 person likes to play by the rules. And you like to create rules for others to follow.
- You are not able to fake how you feel.
- You may appear harsh, judgmental, or too opinionated.
- You have a keen focus and you stay on course easily.
- You move forward with crystal clear focused determination, with a quiet confidence that you can do it better than most people.
- Difficult for people with Type 4 energy to disengage and change what they set out to do. They get on a track and stay on that track until they reach the point of completion, the point they have set in their mind to reach.
- You are not satisfied with the superficial.
- You search for the cause and correlation of things, seeking to understand the laws that effect human life and the principles by which you guide your life. You are a clear thinker and a thorough and efficient organizer of your thoughts. It is important for you to mentally organize your thoughts so you can move forward with a framework of structure. You are not at ease until this state has been achieved. You take in a lot of information and can quickly figure out what has value to you and what does not.
- You tend to take things literally in black and white terms.
- Know-it-all
- You are very thorough in how you plan your spending, and you tend to think things through before you spend your money.
- Others should know Type 4s have a respect for privacy and a respect for personal space. They consistently need time alone to process their thoughts and feelings, and to get clear on where they stand on things that matter to them.
- Don’t touch their stuff without asking.
- Dominate Type 4 Energy do not like being distracted when focused. It is very irritating to be distracted from the task at hand.
- You can seem too authoritative, bossy, or condescending.
- You can get stuck in perfecting things, bringing forward movement to a standstill.
- You have laser-like mental focus.
- You easily follow and obey rules, if you trust the source of those rules, or if you feel that following them will lead you to a greater end.
