Does Christmas ever stress you out? It stresses me out. Don't get me wrong, I love it. But holy cow....it's just sooooo much everything. Time, money, activities, food, decorating. I get overwhelmed with it all if I think about it too long. There are somethings I'm really particular about, like the food, that I will not give up or let someone else do for me. There are things that Aaron won't give up, like the budget and the need to stay within it (haha!). And then there are the things on the bottom of our lists. Aaron doesn't care overly much about stockings, so I take care of those. And when it gets right down to it, I kind feel like decorating is more work than it's worth. So Aaron steps up to the plate every year and helps the kids do the Christmas tree. And I sit in the chair and take pictures. It's more relaxing for everyone that way.
We broke down and got a fake tree this year. (Bah humbug) Aaron found a used one in like-new condition for a great price on KSL. It's not as big around as I'd like, and I'm partial to real trees anyway, but Aaron's in charge and I want him to stay in charge, so I stayed out of it.....as much as I could. :)
Now our tree is up, and it looks great. The little ones haven't even been too bad about leaving it alone. Although I've caught Ruby sucking on candy canes a couple different times, but she hasn't tipped the tree over yet, so we're good. It's good.
Speaking of Ruby, I just love that little stinker pants. Look how cute she looks in her little Type 3 clothes she got for her birthday. She things she's big.
