One Year for Ruby
First birthdays are so much more for the parents than they are for the babies, don't you think? Haha! I can't believe this little stinker is one. I know we always say that. But this last year has been the fastest of my life so far.
I love this little girl. I love her fiery, feisty, determined personality. I love her little giggles and squeals. I love that she is fearless in the face of her older siblings. I love that she likes to be out and about as much as I do. I love when she teases. I love her little apple cheeks and button nose. I love her hair...oh, how I love her hair!
Rue needed some warm clothes, so that's mostly what her presents consisted of. We found some awesome selections at Old Navy of the T3 variety, and went to town. The rust colored cords are my fav! Aaron had the idea that we should get her a xylophone too. BRILLIANT!! It was the perfect gift, and she loves it.
Grandma and Grandpa Swan came over for dinner and gingerbread cake. Turns out, Rue is not a very messy cake eater. Grandma Tam is coming down tomorrow, and we'll go to the mall play place and have lunch. One-year-old birthdays are great, because they're simple. :)
Happy Birthday Little Ruby Aveline Swan. We love you so, so much!
