Hiking the Wadsworth Trail up Hobble Creek Canyon

We finally got around to hiking Wadsworth Trail up Hobble Creek Canyon. I've wanted to for awhile. Our homeschool group did it in June, but I didn't go because I didn't know if I could do four kids on the trail by myself. It was probably a good thing I waited for Aaron to be able to go with us. The trail was awesome though. The trail follows a little creek and is just the right level for my kids, and shady for a lot of it. We hiked all the way up to some beaver dams, and spotted the places where beavers had chewed down the trees. It was cool. The kids wanted to catch a beaver, but we (thankfully) didn't see any. :) We stopped by the stream to eat our lunch, and on our way back we stopped at a rocky part of the shore to let the kids play in the water. They tried to build a dam out of rocks, and did a pretty good job. Ollie was a champ the whole way, as usual. We'll definitely do this trail again.

Check this action out:

Del insisted that her baby come and ride in her shirt. She's prepared with a walking stick, and collected pine cones as we went along. I love this chick!

Oh, how a love this baby in his cute little hat, drool and all!

The first place we stopped to play in the stream wasn't the best choice.

 My kids are awesome hikers!

Here's a better spot to play, and don't worry, I'll capture the moment!
