4:58 AM-Wake up to feed Adelia a bottle. It's the first time she's been up all night, yay!
5:30- Back in bed. I make Aaron scoot over to the other side of the bed, because my back hurts for being on the slant (our bed has a big dip in the middle) and I think if I have the slant on the other side I'll sleep better.
6:00- Aaron's alarm goes off
7:10- Aaron kisses me goodbye
8:00- I get up with Adelia and Lincoln. Feed Adi a bottle, make Linc some cereal.
8:15- Ivan wakes up, I get him some cereal.
8:20- Change Adelia's poopy diaper
8:30- Turn on Numbers Ahoy! for the boys, buckle Adi in her chair and give her a doll. Get in the shower. Get dressed.
8:50- Change Ivan's diaper and get him dressed. Set out clothes for Linc. Finish feeding Adelia her morning bottle. Read Digger Man to Ivan.
9:35- Adi is cranky! Put her down for a nap early.
9:45- Sort laundry (Aaron had already gathered it for me and had it sitting in the living room), switch clothes from washer to dryer and take ones out of dryer (we had to run a load yesterday so Aaron would have whites for this morning) and go to start a new load. Rats! Out of laundry soap!
9:55- Ivan bonks his head and is crying. While I'm holding him trying to soothe him, he sees the dry erase markers on the white board try and wants them. I tell him no. He throws a huge fit and gets sent to time out.
9:58- Get laundry soap refill out of the cupboard and refill my container, then start laundry.
10:00- Get kids and myself a "snack" of toast. For me it's breakfast. Start doing dishes. We have a huge pile up because we were in Hooper all day Saturday and didn't feel like doing any yesterday. I hate when this happens.
10:07- Break up fight over Lincoln's "magic rope" (the string out of my yellow hoodie that he is obsessed with for some strange reason). I make Ivan his own magic rope out of gray yarn.
10:09- Try starting the dishes again, but apparently Ivan's rope is not satisfactory, as the boys are still arguing over the yellow one. I take both ropes, and get out the play dough and get them going on that at the kitchen table.
10:11- Start dishes, and make decent progress with only minor breaks to look at play dough creations, and another one to find Lincoln who quietly disappeared. I found him behind the leather chair, just playing.
10:56- I hear Linc yelling from the bathroom, "Mom! Can you come help me wipe!?" I take a break to help him out.
10:58-Start dish washer, and wipe off counters
10:59- Just kidding! Ivan is throwing play dough everywhere, so it's time to put the play dough away. Ivan throws a fit.
11:02- Play dough is cleaned up. The colors are all mixed, but I'll get over it. I'm missing one lid...I try to interest Ivan in Mega Bloks, he wants Trios, so I get him the Trios. Linc is hiding behind the leather chair playing with his magic rope. (How did he get that down? Oh well, he's being quiet, I let him be.)
11:05- Finish wiping off the counters while eating the toast I'd made myself for breakfast awhile ago.
11:17- Move chairs out of kitchen and into living room. I hear Adelia waking up. I go get her and put her in the Bumbo seat with toys. I check on the boys. Ivan is in his room looking at books. Linc is still playing behind the chair.
11:24- I help Linc get the bed spread off of my bed and make a fort in the living room with all the kitchen chairs. I start sweeping. I have to pause to get the scraper to scrape off Cheerios and a few unknowns that are stuck to the floor. I try to sweep around Ivan who is "helping" by using the mop as a broom. Found the missing play dough lid :)
11:31- Check on Linc and Adi. I hand Adi her toys that she's dropped. Ivan bonked his head on something, I kiss it.
11:33- Start filling the mop bucket
11:41- Big crash. Ivan has pushed over the stack of folding chairs that are still in the living room from Thursday's preschool. I get him the toy from behind the stack that he was reaching for, and pick the chairs up. I work out an argument between Lincoln and Ivan over the cube wire bead toy. They were fighting over where in the room it should be. I resume mopping.
11:46- Finished mopping! Decide that it's probably time to get Adelia dressed. I put Lincoln in time out for taking a toy away from Ivan and refusing to give it back when I asked him to. I smell Ivan from clear across the room. He's poopy. Adi's clothes will have to wait. I tell Ivan to go to his room, and I pick up Adi and take her back there. Ivan has stripped all his clothes off. I change and redress him. Then I read all three kids I Spy Little Wheels. Then I take Adi to her room and change her diaper and lotion her up. I love the new honey apple scent baby lotion I got at the store the other day. It smells awesome! I dress Adelia, stopping only once in the middle to free Lincoln from the closet because the door got stuck while he was hiding.
12:07- Time to start thinking about lunch. First though, I put away the mop bucket and bring the chairs back into the kitchen. Lincoln is in Adelia's room stringing beads, Ivan is sitting at the table eating my breakfast toast, Adi is jumping in the jumpy chair.
12:16- Adelis is fussy. I make her a bottle and feed her.
12:24- Linc comes into the living room saying that Ivan is picking the petals off of my flowers. I go investigate and threaten time out if he climbs up onto the table again.
12:30- Okay, for reals this time, lunch. Ivan wants green shakes, Lincoln wants quesadilla. Green shakes it is.
12:37- Everyone is happily sipping away on their shakes. I finish feeding Adelia her bottle.
12:43- Kids ask for seconds, I give them gladly.
12:48- Wipe faces and head to the boys' room for the nap time ritual. First I have to put back up the curtain rod that Ivan pulled down. Then we read Five Little Monkeys, Good Night Moon, and I Know the Modern Prophets. The boys get in their beds, and I let each of them pick one animal picture to read about. Ivan chooses the Giant Panda and Linc chooses Salamanders. (In the kids room on their closet door, we have pictures of animals, cut out from our Highlights magazine, each picture has a short paragraph with facts about each animal. We read a couple paragraphs as part of out sleeping routine.) I turn off the light and we sing I am a Child of God, Wise Man and the Foolish Man, True to the Faith, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Twinkle Star, Bumble Bee, and The Preamble, while I finish feeding Adelia her bottle. We don't usually sing that many, but I was trying to get through the whole bottle. I find Ivan's binkie, get the kids their "friends" (favorite stuffed animals), and say good night. Then I go put Adelia down for a nap in her room.
1:14- Aaron called, I chat with him while picking up toys in the living room.
1:20- Hang up with Aaron and go back to the boys' room because Ivan is screaming. I give him a swat because he has once again pulled down the curtain rod.
1:23- Listen to a voice mail from Sydni, and call her back. we chatted for a minute while I picked up toys.
1:31- Switch laundry.
1:36- Lincoln comes out. He's done with his "rest". He decides he wants to do the blue pages from his preschool book. I get them out for him.
1:42- I clean up lunch stuff while talking to Linc about blue things.
1:47- Linc starts a scavenger hunt for blue things. I start to empty the dish washer.
1:55- Linc and I take pictures of his blue pile and then we put them away. I get him out the next blue page to work on.
1:56- Linc runs to the potty.
2:13- Linc finishes blue and asks to do brown. He colors his page and we do a brown scavenger hunt.
2:40- We finish up with brown and put things away. I give Linc the job of putting away the silverware. He loves this job, and thinks of it as a game rather than a chore. Fine with me. :) I take a quick potty break, and decide it's about time I brushed my teeth for the day. (Still no make up and hair is not done. Probably too late for either of those. Oh well.)
2:44- Linc needs to use the potty. I put my bed spread back in our room (its still out from the fort earlier).
2:46- Linc resumes putting the silverware away. I get on the computer. Check email and Facebook.
2:56- Linc is done. I turn on his new computer game for him, Reader Rabbit and set the timer for 30 minutes. I turn the dryer on (we have to dry each load twice, lame). I vacuum the living room.
3:21- My mom calls, and I chat with her for a bit.
3:26- The time goes off, so I turn off Lincoln's computer game. Linc decides to play Trios. I hang up with my mom and try to work on getting an FHE lesson together.
4:00- We pull out the Valentines Lincoln has been making and work on those. He does tracing, and then practices writing his name without any lines to trace. He's getting really good!
4:20- Change the laundry.
4:44- Adelia is up, I go get her.
4:46- My neighbor, Misty, is at the door, returning a cook book. I chat with her for a couple minutes.
4:48- I make a bottle for Adelia and feed her.
4:59- Lincoln and I make faces at Adi to see if we can get her to laugh.
5:02- Wow! Is it really 5:02? I decide I should probably wake Ivan up. He's taking a way long nap today. This is not typical. I go wake him up. At some point before he fell asleep, he stripped off all his clothes. So I dress him for the 3rd time today.
5:14- I turn on some upbeat music (pulled up my blog page and turned up the computer volume) and started to think about dinner. Put on a pot of water to boil, and called Aaron to see if he'd pick up some french bread on the way home for spaghetti.
5:20- Take Ivan back to his room to change his diaper. He runs away and is playing with Linc in the living room. I tell them both to come about 30 times. Then I count to 3. Neither of them come. I put Linc in time out for not listening, and take Ivan back to change his diaper. I let Linc get up, and he comes in the room. I read all three kids I Know the Modern Prophets, Diggers, and Digger Man.
5:32- Aaron calls, he's running to Macey's for french bread because everything they had at Fresh Market has milk in it. I put the noodles in the boiling water.
5:37- Everyone is crying, I'm not sure why. I put the Valentine stuff away while holding Ivan, making faces at Adi, and telling Linc that he's fine.
5:39- I sit down on the floor in front of Adelia with both boys in my lap. We stick out our tongues at her and wiggle them around while making noises to try and make her laugh. She looks at us like we are idiots. Ivan decides to try the fake sneeze method. Pretty soon all three of us are fake sneezing at her. She is laughing.
5:41- Aaron gets home, and find us this way. He thinks we're weird. We are, I agree.
5:46- I start the dryer, and work on dinner some more with Aaron's help. Adelia is jumping, Lincoln and Ivan are pretending to be frogs, and are getting underfoot.
5:50- The boys help Aaron set the table.
5:51- Adelia is crying and wants a bottle, so I feed her while Aaron finishes dinner.
6:00- We sit down to eat. It was yummy.
6:30- I go work on finishing up the FHE lesson, while Aaron gives all three children a bath. He's amazing. I love him.
7:00- All three children are jammied. We start FHE. The lesson is on how Jesus taught us to love others, stolen from the nursery manual. The boys are rowdy through out, but willingly read their scriptures when it's there turn, and play the game when we get to that part.
7:30- Bed time! My favorite time of the day. (Is that bad?) We read stories, I don't remember which ones, and sing a few songs. Then it's lights out and goodnight boys. Adelia eats some more, and goes down shortly after.
8:00- Aaron talks me into playing chess with him. I get clobbered...as expected. Then we play Boggle. I win by 10 points. Yay me.
9:50- Aaron reads the news, and we chat.
10:30- Bed time for us.

This is awesome! You have such great detail! Man, life with kids is crazy, eh? I read this and think, "You must be exhausted all the time!" and then I realize my days are pretty much the same (only I get less done) and I am exhausted, so... you are awesome!
You are super Mom! I am tired just reading that! What are green shakes? Sounds yummy
You must have read my mind! I was just chatting yesterday with someone about the schedules of stay-at-home mothers. I know how busy they are, but I was wondering exactly what a day in their life looks like. This is very interesting and insightful :-)
