On Sunday afternoons, we like to go for walks. We usually walk around the block, but this week I was itching to get out of the house, the boys were restless, and going around the block just didn't seem like it was going to cut it. We decided instead, to load the boys' bikes into the car and drive up to campus and then let them have free reign up there. I like going up to campus because there is a lot of open space for the kids to ride without me having to worry about them getting run over. Plus, BYU campus is very pretty, and has some really cool buildings to look at.

Over by the Joseph Fielding Smith Building (JFSB) they have a pretty cool fountain and some shade, so we made our way over there. My boys loved the fountain. Right off we had to tell them they couldn't play in it, or both of them probably would have jumped right in. Oh, and we made a very random discovery...floating in the pond was a little rubber duck. Aaron pulled it out and on it, it said, "Date? Call Krystal" spelled with a K and everything. Of course the phone number on it was not mine, but what a funny thing to find. We had a good laugh over it and then Aaron threw it back in to be found by someone else.
Adelia and I found a nice shady spot to sit in while Lincoln and Ivan went round and around the fountain. Lincoln was on his bike, but Ivan preferred to just run.

I really love afternoons like this. When you do something that's not necessarily special, but doing it just gives you a happy feeling and you know it's a memory you'll have for a long time. I love to spend time with my family, I think that makes me happier than anything else in the world. I love to watch my kids get excited about things, even if it's something as simple as a fountain in the middle of campus. So for me today was a great day.

Tonight we also gave Adelia her first bath, since her umbilical cord thing finally fell off. She only liked it slightly more than the sponge baths she was previously getting. She did all right if one of us was pouring the warm water onto her shoulders and tummy, but if not, then she was screaming. I'm sure she'll grow into it though, both the others did.
