Adelia's Blessing Day

Today was Adelia's blessing. We probably would have waited a little longer to do it, but we wanted to do it while Aaron's mom was in town. We were a little bit nervous that everyone driving from north of Provo would get stuck in traffic and miss it, but luckily there was another blessing before ours, and everyone made it in time.

My Great Grandma Roberts, crocheted Adelia's blessing dress with little booties and a blanket to match. My mom made her a beautiful slip to go underneath. I made her hair bow. :) She looked so beautiful in her outfit, but she was not one bit happy about getting her picture taken in it.

Aaron gave her a wonderful blessing. And we were happy to have so many of our family members there in the circle with him. The people in the circle were: Aaron, Chuck Swan (Aaron's Dad), Kelly Swan (Aaron's twin brother), Ryan Swan (Aaron's older brother), Bryan Taylor (Aaron's cousin), Richard Swan (Aaron's Uncle), Kerry Sparks (my step dad), and Kyle Lemmon (my brother).

After church we all went up to Aaron's Aunt Karen's house in Orem for dinner. I planned to have Cafe Rio Chicken as the main dish (you make the chicken/pork in the crock pot and shred it and eat it on a burrito with whatever toppings you want), and then assigned everyone else to bring potluck items. All the food was excellent, and I don't think anyone went hungry. Kelly took a nice shot of the everyone that was at the blessing, but I haven't gotten those pictures from him yet, so for now, here are the pictures we took on our camera.

Aaron's cousin Bryan, his wife Becca, Uncle Richard, Aunt Debbie, and Lucy the dog.

My brother Kyle, his wife Kelsey, my brother Tanner, my Mom, my step dad Kerry, and my step sister Tanya

Aunt Karen, Aaron's mom Debbie, Aaron's sister-in-law Melissa, Aaron's brother Ryan, Aaron's dad Chuck, and Eli the dog.

Aaron's dad decided to drive down from WA for the blessing. We're glad he did!

Ivan missed his nap, then he wore himself out playing in Karen's backyard. This is the result.
