Even though Lincoln's birthday is technically today, we decided to celebrate yesterday (Sat.) because Sundays are so busy and we're all off schedule. the birthday celebration began with Aaron blowing up balloons and having them all over the living room. Lincoln couldn't crawl around fast enough, he loved it!
Aaron, revealing his hidden balloon artist talents, made a special birthday hat for Lincoln.
This is Lincoln's lion birthday cake. We made a 9x13 cake stuck it in the freezer for a few hours and then brought it out cut it up into pieces, fit the pieces together into a lion shape, and then frosted it. We thought we were pretty cool.
Here is Lincoln opening up his present from us. It's a dump-wagon. Inside it has Mega Blocks (large Legos) and the back dumps like a dump truck. Lincoln loves to push the wagon around, and Aaron has a lot of fun building with the blocks.
This Little People train set is from Grandma Swan. Lincoln really enjoys scooting the train around and pushing all the buttons that make noises.
This is the cake and ice cream damage. Lincoln was so funny to watch eat it. As soon as we put it on his tray he went right for it, shoving it into his mouth in handfuls and saying "Mmmhhmmm" with every bite!
There was only one way to clean him off afterwards, and that was to strip him down and rinse him off in the sink before we stuck him in the bathtub.
