Fall is my favorite season, but fall in my little corner of Springville seems especially magical. Maybe it’s because I live next to a corn field, or because the pumpkin patch is just across the main road, but Fall in my town feels earthy and authentic in ways it never did in Provo, or Texas, or any other place we’ve lived.
Aaron took they day off today because we had a few things to take care of this morning, and because I had a doctor’s appointment this afternoon. Fall Break starts tomorrow for all the public school kids, so we thought we’d get a jump on it and beat the rush to the pumpkin patch. It was gorgeous weather for it too.

Ruby picture overload, I know, but she was being darling. She is in her element when we are outside running, jumping, and climbing. I haven’t seen her this happy in weeks. And I totally understand how she feels. We’ve been sticking pretty close to home for the last several months.
Cal slept through his first corn maze. And really, through most all of his first pumpkin patch experience. :)
