Aaron and I tried out a new restaurant in town called The Sidecar Cafe, for date night this week. It was really good. All the food they use is locally grown or raised. And it was wonderful to be out on the town with this good lookin' guy. We don't do it often enough, but I really enjoy when we go out just the two of us. After dinner we went up and walked around BYU campus for fun. I miss good ol' BYU campus. I loved being a college student, some of my best times.:)
Soccer season is over, yeehaw! Don't get me wrong, I love soccer, and I love watching my kids play, but wow! it makes for a very busy September. But you couldn't ask for a more beautiful backdrop than our Utah mountains to watch a soccer game.
On Sunday there was a blood moon. It was pretty cool to see. We invited all our neighbors over and sat out on our front lawn. The pictures aren't great, but I still wanted to document.
In other awesome news, Ivan's reading is steadily getting better and better. Sometimes I even catch him reading silently to himself. Success!! The kids have rediscovered sidewalk chalk, and Adelia's cocoon hatched into a butterfly.
AND! Aaron fixed our chicken coop! The hens were pecking at their eggs and cracking them open and eating them. So Aaron designed a fix for our nesting boxes. The bottom is now a slant and the eggs roll under a ledge. Beautiful. Everyone should marry an engineer. :)
