Prove It!
This morning we drove to Salt Lake to pick up my niece Abi. She'll be staying with us until Sunday night. I am a little nervous about this, not because Abi is hard. She's not, she's actually pretty easy to have around. But I was nervous because that meant I was responsible for five children ages 6 and under. Not only that, but we have a family reunion for Aaron's side of the family this week, with lots of people coming into town, and lots of activities going on. I was a little bit afraid I was going to be home-bound with five kids.
But the thing is, I am stubborn. So, in order to prove to myself that I could, I loaded up all five kids into the van, and took them to Costco. All by myself. I needed to get things for dinner, and I didn't have time to wait for Aaron to come home, because our house guests were arriving at about the same time as Aaron gets off work, and I wanted dinner to be well on it's way to being ready by that time.
Good news is, I survived. And it wasn't so bad. By far, the worst part was having all three of my older kids squished in the back seat together. They kept being in each other's space, and breathing each other's air, and so on. But it was ok. So I'm feeling better about how the rest of the weekend is going to go. :)
