I used to do a-day-in-the-life posts, where I wrote down what we did all day long. Those are some of my favorite ones to reread, because I remember thinking at the time that life was never going to change, but when I read them now, I can see that a good deal of our day-to-day routine has changed. Anyways, I wasn't up to doing an entire day, but using my phone I jotted down some thoughts I had as we went throughout the day.
-Lincoln woke up with pink eye this morning. Trip to the doctor. And how am I going to keep everyone, especially Oliver, from catching it?
-What sort of wonderful treasures do your children put in the washing machine for you? I found a pumas stone today, courtesy of Adelia.
-Trying to come to terms with the necessity of laundry becoming a part of my daily existence instead of just a twice a week thing.
-Mac and cheese is so gross, why do kids like it so much?
-Ok Oliver my boy, time to wake up and have some lunch. Either that or I gotta pump, and I'd rather not. So I'll be waking you up now. A diaper change should do the trick.
-Looks like all that sleep made Oliver grow out of another newborn outfit. They're dropping like flies.
-Canning strawberry jam this afternoon. The timing is not ideal, it never is with canning. But the strawberries are on sale and I ran out of raspberry jam last week. You do what you gotta do I guess. Good thing strawberry jam is the EASIEST thing on the planet to can. :)
-Ugh, my kids watch WAY too much TV these days. RSV season needs to end, I need to get all the way healed, and the sun needs to come out. I might throw the TV out the window if I catch myself humming Jake and the Neverland Pirates one more time.
-Daylight savings time? I haven't really noticed it this go around. But it's kinda throwing Aaron for a loop with getting to work on time.
-Itching to start my garden and work in the yard. Will we have grass this year? I hope so. Patio? Sandbox? Fence?
-Rosemary salmon with rice and peas for dinner. It feels good to want to cook again.
-Freedom! I have escaped my house and all of my children to make a grocery store run. Oh the things that excite a stay at home mom.
-Oliver my dear, why do you always wake up at bedtime?
