And Since

So we've pretty much been hanging out at home. I'm still pretty sore from my stitches, and it's still RSV season. But my energy and motivation are coming back. And we've had wonderful friends and neighbors bring us dinner, or take the kids for the afternoon. And mine and Aaron's moms have both dropped in a few times to take care of us. We feel pretty loved.

I tried doing a bit of school with the kids. Not because I'm worried about them getting behind, but because they behave so much better when they have something to do and a schedule to follow. We've gone on willy-nilly for too long, they are wild indians, and it was driving me crazy. So we tried some school. It was like pulling teeth. I think we're going to have to work up to it. But I'm not really in a hurry. I just need the older ones to be occupied.

We aren't getting any extra sleep around here, but we aren't doing too bad either. Knock on wood. So far Ollie is a pretty cooperative night person. He gets up, eats, and generally goes right back to sleep after a burp and a diaper change. We'v even had several nights where he's done a five hour stretch. Keep it up kid, keep it up. He sleeps a lot in the day too, but is starting to have little wakeful periods. I like that. I like to see his eyes. They are blue.

Aaron's mom gave Oliver this little elephant sleeper. It's cute. And it's the first thing he's grown out of. :)

I was feeling a little stir-crazy, having not set foot outside my house for an entire week. So, Saturday Aaron and I attempted to go to Costco with all the kids. I said I was crazy. It wasn't too bad. It was really nice to get out of the house, but I think I pushed myself a little too hard. Afterward I was exhausted and my body hurt.

Every time I look at the calendar and see my due date marked and still in the future, I do a little happy dance. I can't imagine still being pregnant. I'm glad I'm not. I'm glad I'm getting back into the swing. I'm glad I can bend over to unload the dishwasher. I'm glad to have packed up the maternity clothes and sent them on a one-way trip to my sister-in-law's house. I hope I don't have to see them again for awhile. (The clothes, not my sister-in-law :) )

I'm so excited to meet this little guy! He is so adorable! We are coming down probably Thursday this week, so unless there's another sister in law that needs the clothes, I'll take them off your hands then:)
