Oliver as a Globe

Well, it's that time of pregnancy...we do this every time, and we love it. :) It's a great outlet of Aaron's artistic abilities. We decided on doing a globe because we've already done a lot of other round things. And we thought a globe would be fun. We decided on doing a topographical map instead of a political map because, well...do you have any idea how long it would have taken to do a political map? This took us at least an hour and a half as it was.

First we started with the blue layer. Then we blow-dried it. And then Aaron did the outline of the continents, and after those were dry, he did the shading and then the words. The words were probably the hardest, he did them with a tooth pick.

I am very pleased with how it turned out. I can never tell how it's going to go while Aaron is painting, because I can't see the bottom half of my stomach, so I have to wait for the pictures too. So without further adeau, here's Oliver as a globe...complete with tropical storm and coveted vacation destination. :)

I am happy to point out that the actual globe is bigger than my stomach. :)

The master and his masterpiece

My mother specifically requested that I put up pictures of all four pregnancy belly paintings, so here you go Mom, this is for you. But everyone feel free to vote on your favorite.
