We kicked off the start of another round of Letter Days today at Suzy's house. She taught Ivan and Kaitlyn about ants. They read about ants, and got to look at a few ants Suzy and in a baby food jar. The kids used their fingers to make little ant bodies, and then drew on the legs (I helped with some of Ivan's). Then we went outside to hunt for ants, and watched them for a little while. For a snack we ate ants on a log (celery with peanut butter and raisins.)
I think the kids enjoyed their time. I also think it's going to be really good for Ivan to have a "special" time once a week that's just for him, while Lincoln has time each week to just play one on one with Nathan (which will also be really good for Linc.) So it's a win-win situation. Hooray for Letter Day!
