4 Whole Years
Yesterday was mine and Aaron's 4 year anniversary! Woo-hoo, four years! That's pretty good. I'm not going to lie, today was not the best day I've ever had. Ivan didn't sleep hardly at all the night before (which means no one else did either), and Aaron got up and went to work early, and I dealt with cranky kids and a messy house I didn't feel like cleaning for most of the day. And just for the record, I probably wasn't the most pleasant of people myself.
But we did take some time to do something fun. Aaron's Aunt Debby was kind enough to watch our boys for a few hours so we could go out to dinner. We chose to go to Macaroni Grill, one of my favorite places. Italian sodas have been calling my name for awhile, so it was nice to finally indulge that craving. The food was good, and it was nice to be out with Aaron without any distractions.
I'll admit one of my favorite things about Macaroni Grill is that you get to color on the table cloth while you're waiting for your food. :) Aaron and I took turns drawing different memories we've had together during the last four years and whoever wasn't drawing had to guess what it was. Aaron is a better drawer, so I had an easier time guessing, and therefore won the game.
And here's our yearly postcard. We started this tradition on our honeymoon. So every anniversary since then, we take a picture of our feet against the backdrop of whatever we did to celebrate that year. If you think about it, this picture is pretty impressive...somehow I managed to get my feet up and over my pregnant belly and sticking out the window of the passenger seat of our van. I almost didn't make it back down. :)
Happy Four Years Aaron! I love you. And may our children sleep through the night tonight.
