This year we decided to go as the Fire Department. Ok, Ivan is wearing a monkey suit, but we decided that he could be the fire monkey. (Is that like a rally monkey? sure.) We decked Lincoln's Radio Flyer out to look like a fire truck. It took us until 1:30 Friday night, but the results made it worth it. We were pretty proud of ourselves.
Try as we might we could not fit all four of us in the wagon. But we could get three. We trick or treated at Aaron's Aunt Debby and Uncle Richard's house. Yes, we loaded the wagon/firetruck into the back of the van just to take it to that one house so they could see. :) Then we headed over to our ward's trunk-or-treat. Aaron took the boys around in the wagon while I passed out candy. It was fun. We won a prize (a piece of paper) for having the "most original" costume. Yay for us!!
We are also happy to note, that for the first time in three years, everyone on Aaron's side of the family made it through Halloween night safe and sound, with no injuries or surgeries to speak of. Good job Swans, let's keep it up. :)

There is a Curious George book where George becomes the firestation's new mascot and they make him an official firemonkey. So, it works.
