Ollie and Cal's Room Update

I just wanted to do a quick update on how things are coming in Ollie and Cal's room. All the trees are painted, so now Aaron is working on getting the leaves up on the trees. The yellow looks awesome and gives a great pop of color. The only down side is that it takes about three coats to get the color where we want it.

I've done two coats on the ceiling to make it white. It needs one more coat. I've also painted the closet doors white.

AND...I redid the night stand and the dresser. They look AWESOME! I'm so happy with how they turned out. We got this set off of KSL for like $35 or something, when Ivan was a baby. It's nothing fancy, just particle board and wood laminate, but it's been a good set for all of our kids. Anyways, I'm not really in the market for a new dresser, since this one works fine. I just wanted to spruce it up a bit and make it match the room. I coated everything in a nice coat of strong primer. Then I painted the outsides of the dresser and night stand grey, and the knobs grey. The drawers I painted the same white at the trees and the trim that we used in the room. Then I put a nice thick coat of polyurethane on everything and let them dry. What do you think?

The next step will be to finish the ceiling. And then I'm going to strip the stain off of the changing table and re-stain it with a light grey wood stain and seal it. I also need to sand down and repaint the curtain rod holders, so that they are white. And then we need to build a bunk bed and stain it. And then rebuilt the inside of the closet (so that the space in there is being used more efficiently) and paint it. 

*Contented Sigh* And hopefully after all of that, it will be time for Cal to come. :)
