Wood Shop and Photo Shoots

I can't get enough of my Little Rue. I'm having a hard time sharing her, I just want to keep her to myself and soak in all the newborn sweet, peacefulness that I can before it's gone. It doesn't last long.

On the other hand, Ollie isn't quite sure what to think of his new sister. And Ruby isn't so sure about Ollie either. They'll grow into each other...I hope.

On Saturday, Aaron took the three older kids to the Home Depot Kids Craft day. They made some cute little winter decorations to stick out in the front flower bed.But they didn't get their fill. They came home and set up wood shop on the back patio. They hammered and nailed Aaron's scrap wood for literally hours. And they made some cool things. Doll sized tables and benches, signs, and Lincoln made and airplane that he wants to give Oliver for Christmas.

Yes, it's December and Adelia goes outside with bare feet.

But look, I'm a good mom, I made her put shoes on.

Sunday, while everyone else was gone to church, Ruby and I had a small photo shoot. Obviously, I am not a professional, or even decent, photographer...just a wanna be one. Someday when I have time to do something for myself, I am going to take some classes on photography. But in the meantime, this is the best I could do with the crummy lighting in my living room and my camera phone. Doesn't change the fact that Ruby is darling though. :) I want to remember her hairs forever and ever.
