Kid Speak

Lincoln: "Mom, what do they mean when they say 'steal a kiss'?"
Me: "It means to kiss someone when they aren't expecting it. Who's been stealing kisses?"
Linc with a sly grin: "Well, not me! It was Tom Sawyer."

"I just like to eat one mushroom too...a day." -Ivan

"Adelia, you're brave as a bucket of sand." -Ivan

"Oliver just doesn't know what to do about me." -Adelia

"Mom, do you want to see me write the biggest number of all? A sideways eight. It means all the numbers that ever were all the way up to infinity." -Lincoln

"Mom, you sounded like the Grand High Witch just a minute ago," -Ivan

(While our family was enjoying our FHE treat) "Dad, some kinds of dogs like to eat this." -Adelia

Ivan was upset that I told him to pick up the toys so he said to me, "Mom you are bad! As bad as two Grinch's stacked on top of each other!"

"Great! I need hula hooping lessons! Mom, could you sign me up for hula hooping lessons?" -Ivan

"Mom, bodies are gross. Do you want to know the grossest part? My blood!" -Adelia

"Mom! I need help! My boot's not listening." -Adelia

"Dad! I heard a train in the misty darkness!" -Adelia

Ivan, trying to copy Charlie Brown, "Oh, great grief!"
