Time Out For Women St. George 2013

Me, Tami-Mom, Buffey, Tami T., and Shirley

I had an awesome, much-needed, weekend get-away. I went with some of my all-time favorite women, down to St. George to attend Time Out For Women, a conference put on by Deseret Book.  The trip was pretty much perfect all around. I didn't have to cook a single meal, or change a single diaper. We stayed up until 2am both nights, laughing until our guts hurt. And during the day we went to class and were spiritually uplifted by excellent speakers and musicians. The only thing missing was Susan. Our dear friend, who is serving her mission at the DC Temple right now.

I love these women. They are all in my home ward and watched me grow up. Shirley was one of my preschool teachers, and then later a secretary at my junior high, she is a sweetheart and you can always count on her for a smile and hug. Tami T. was my Young Womens' leader, she is one of those fun, happy people who brightens up a room just by walking in. You can never be sad when Tami's around. (Not to mention she is exceptionally good at decorating and doing hair! And rhyming, can't forget the rhyming. ;) haha!) And Buffey you just can't help but love. She's down to earth and funny. She tells it like it is, and is so in-tune with the spirit. And then there's my mom. She's my favorite lady on this earth and my best friend. She puts up with me and loves me anyways. All of these women would do anything for ya. They have been some of the examples I looked up to when I was younger to see what a grown woman ought to be like. If I can be even half as awesome as any of them, I'd consider myself a success. I'm a lucky girl that I got to have them for leaders, neighbors, and mothers, and even luckier that they still let me come and hang out with them. We had such a wonderful time.

Tami T busting out the back scratcher during our 20 minute break!

Broken driver's seat. But Tam got us home safely anyway, and didn't even see any dinosaurs along the way!

I also need to give a shout out to my super-amazing husband for making this weekend possible. He stayed home with all four kiddlets, taught them school, entertained them, and fed them, so that I could take a break. AND on top of all that, he even documented it for me, so I wouldn't have to miss anything. :) He knows me so well. Here are the pictures from his weekend with the kids.

 Boys doing school.

Aaron worked on Ryan's new server, taped the cord to the ground so the kids couldn't pull it up, AND had it all put away before I got home.

He fixed the hole in my garbage can lid!! Take that fruit flies!!

 Ollie in the pop-up tunnel.

Took the kids to the park, and pushed them on the swings. This would be Ollie's first swing.

Raked leaves, etc. at his parents house, this is Lincoln's cheeser.

And Aaron took them swimming and out for Frosty's. I should probably go away more often, Aaron's the funner parent by far.
