I think I mentioned in an earlier post that I am having Ivan do preschool in our neighborhood co-op again this year. He was super excited when I told him. And this morning he was up bright and early to get ready for his first day. I usually have to fight him to get dressed in the mornings, but not today. He got up and dressed before I even know what was going on. :) I love when they are motivated. He was also frustrated with me that I wanted to stop for three seconds on the front porch to take his picture, so he wouldn't give me a real smile. But he's adorable anyway.
Today was getting to know you day. Ivan brought home a picture he'd drawn that had his favorite animal (a dog), a picture of our family, and something that was his "favorite thing". When I asked him what it was he shrugged and said, "I dunno, my favorite thing." And that was all the info I could get out of him.
But I know he loved it because he keeps asking me when he gets to go back.
Preschool has been so good for Ivan. I'm so glad we listened last year when we felt like we needed to do it, even though we didn't want to at the time. And it's also been a great way for me to get to know some of the ladies is the ward and neighborhood. I'm excited for this year's preschool too.
