Big News

I bet you never thought you'd see this sight in our house. I know I didn't. But yes, we bought a TV. Why? Because we wanted to watch the Olympics. How long after the Olympics are over do you think it'll be before I completely regret the decision?

It still needs a few things...like we need to take the plastic packaging off of it for starters. I also have big plans to buy an entertainment center that has doors on it. So I can shut the TV out of sight out of mind when it's not in use (which will be most of the time). But, I have to say, I am excited to have it for when we watch movies together as a family. Crowding five of us in front of the computer screen is starting to be a little ridiculous, especially now that our couch is in a different room than our computer. We've been trying to drag the couch with the hide-a-bed in it back and forth from one room to the other when we watch movies. 

And in other big news, we mailed out a few of these to our family members last week.

I'm the kind of person that HATES to find out the major life events of my siblings on Facebook, or through the grapevine. So I try to put a lot of thought and effort into the announcements we make, and hopefully our family feels like we make the effort to tell them things personally. This is what Aaron and I came up with this time. And I was really pleased with how it turned out.
