In Like a Lamb
The sun came out today! I've been doing a lot of searching for ideas for my turn to host preschool that's coming up, and I've decided that I'm going to focus (since the theme is spring) on what spring is like in March specifically, since March spring is a little bit different than the rest of spring. I'm going to do the whole Lion vs Lamb bit. Anyways, because of that I was really interested to see the weather today, the first day of March. I'd say that based on today, March came in like a lamb...which if the saying is correct, means it will go out like a lion :( But for now, we'll just focus on the lamb part.
Since it was so nice out, the boys and I decided to have a picnic lunch during Adelia's morning nap. We took a big blanket and some PB&J sandwiches outside and thoroughly enjoyed the weather. (Ok, so it was still cold enough that we had to wear coats, but it's March, what do you expect?) Some of our friends and neighbors came out a little later and enjoyed the day with us.
Here are some cute pictures of the kiddos entertaining themselves. Lincoln loves to build with the scrap wood from the bunk beds. Today his creation is his very own TV that he plays games on by pushing the "buttons" on the biggest chunk of wood. He told me the game he was playing had something to do with clouds and penguins. I have no idea. Ivan found a piece of bendy metal, that I think goes to our stroller? Anyways, he's been having a blast with it, waving it around and fighting monsters. He also uses it for a fishing pole and a rocket. And Adi is so entertained by her brothers. She loves to be in her little chair in the center of the room so she can spin around in circles to watch them run around like crazies. I'm sure she can't wait to join in.
The other day Linc woke up saying he didn't really feel very well, but he seemed fine. He ate breakfast and everything just fine. I went to get in the shower, and when Aaron came in from outside, he found Linc asleep on top of the clean laundry. He carried him to bed and Linc slept for 3 hours!! When he woke up he said he felt better. I guess he was just exhausted.
And as for the house in the last post...we applied for it. It took some convincing on my part to get Aaron to go for it. But we did. We are just waiting to see if we get accepted or not. If we do we will be moving in three weeks!! But I try not to think about it...
Also, tonight I got my birthday wish of Texas Roadhouse!!! A friend called me up and wanted to take me out for my birthday. She's such a sweetheart. And we had a great time. I really love girls' nights out. I wish I would have taken a picture of us. :)
