Another Saturday, Another Park!

Saturday we spent another wonderful afternoon at the park. I know that we go to the park almost every Saturday that it's not surprising anymore. But the parks here in Texas are beautiful and many so we're trying to take advantage of them while we are here.

It's starting to get especially fun because the better Lincoln gets at standing the more able he is to actually play on the playground equipment.

So, Saturday we were at Crowley Park. They have two playgrounds there, we usually go to the south playground because it is closer to the main road and the duck pond, but today we went to the north playground.

Lincoln really likes playing with the wheel. Even though it's taller than he is he could still turn it and thought it was really funny when it moved. The top picture, I have to admit is staged. It's a climbing wall, and Aaron put Lincoln on it at a semi flat place, and where Lincoln could hold on to the handle, then he jumped back for about 1/2 a second (long enough for me to take the picture) and then went forward and caught Lincoln as he was falling off. So, no, our child isn't a real live baby rock climber. :) But it was still fun. Mostly Lincoln enjoyed picking up the bark chips (for those of you in Utah that don't know, a lot of playgrounds have bark chips instead of sand, and some of the one here actually have small, smooth rocks instead of bark chips) and throwing them back down. He tried to eat a few too, which didn't go over too well. He also climbed up the steps as you can see in the video.
